This is my Thrice collection. I've pondered doing a photo of this for a while, but have never gotten around too it. My love for this band runs deeper than just their music. They've done a lot for me over the years.

Movember is winding down, but I'm not going to lie, the mustache has really grown on me (no pun intended) this year. I don't know if I want to keep the stache, or bring back some form of beard. Any input would be appreciated.

After the Triathlon I headed to Vegas to hang out with Andrew, and go see Mariachi El Bronx along with Kyle, Cassie, Josh, and Drew. Needless to say, when I got back to town sunday afternoon I was exhausted. Two nights in a row with only a couple hours of sleep. I tried taking a picture of the cliffs by my house illuminated by the sunlight, but in the end, the pictures just didn't come out that well. So I decided to post another photo from the second to last Thrice show in Santa Ana in June.

I started packing yesterday. While I was doing so, I noticed my Nalgene had a cool glow to it from the window behind it. That on top of the perspiration of the bottle, I thought I would snap a pic of it.

I took photos today, but they were crap, so instead I decided to throw up a shot of Tanner Merritt of O'brother during their final show of the Thrice tour in Santa Ana. I love this band, they're in heavy rotation right now. Cool dudes, and great tunes.

I was playing by the clock on this one. The night after the second to final Thrice show, Dustin played an acoustic set. Technically he started at 12:15. The dude has pipes and a passion for music. I'm excited to see what comes from him in the future.

The last night of the Thrice/O'brother tour (Thrice played solo on Tuesday at the final act.) As a Thrice tradition, pranks are common practice during the final night of tour. Well, O'brother took the cake, and ate it too. As thrice exited the stage after their set, prior to their encore, O'brother walked out on stage dressed in Butt-Rock garb. Tanner Merritt then announced that it wasn't O'brother, but rather he was Scott Stap, and his band Creed. They proceeded to play "Higher" by Creed, and did a damn good job. Far better than Creed ever did. It was pretty damn hilarious. A great cap to a great tour. Check out O'brother, they're solid musicians, and even nicer dudes.

Today was a very busy day. I was on the road to Las Vegas for work by 7 AM. I Didn't get home until 9 PM. I went and played volleyball with my friends, and then it was time to pack. For tomorrow starts one hell of a journey. Can. Not. Wait.

Teppei from Thrice rocking the house in Salt Lake City. Thrice is on their farewell tour with Animals as Leaders, and one of my favorites, O'brother. Thrice puts on an amazing show every time, and last night in SLC was no different. They're a bunch of classy, humble, talented dudes. There will certainly be more edits from this show in the future. If you haven't listened to any of these bands, do yourself a favor and do it.

Given the tragic events of last weekend, naturally, my mind has been focused in on my relationships, and the people who matter most in my life. Today while I was at work, I was chatting with one of my very best friends, Tallen Meek, and we were talking, and watching old videos from a few months back from Las Vegas. Alex was there, and he was being as silly, and crazy as ever. It was a bitter sweet thing to see those videos. I also found this picture from earlier this year, shortly there after that Las Vegas trip. It's a picture of me and a bunch of my great friends from St. George. Levi, Tina, Dalan, Alex, Mark, Jim, Tallen, and Ruth. Kyle was behind the camera. I loved that day.

In 2005 Thrice released Vheissu. One of the songs on the record, "For Miles," became an absolute favorite, and its never been more true to me than it is right now. I love my friends, and I love my family more than they could ever imagine. I would literally do anything for them. I would give my life for them. So tonight I busted out my typewriter and typed up the lyrics to that song, and laid them over the photo of (some) of my best friends. I'm blessed to have great friends in multiple places. From Ely, to Reno and Las Vegas, Salt Lake and St. George... even a few scattered further than that. But those boundaries don't matter because our friendship isn't measured by distance. So to my true friends, you know who you are, I love you, and I am grateful to have you in my life. Thanks for all that you do for me, day in and day out.
