Position camera and ball for composure. Turn off lights. Use bulb and aperture and ISO of your choosing. Open shutter, and flash the diffused flash a few times over the ball at different angles. The number of times required depends on aperture, ISO, flash output, etc. Just try it a few times and figure it out. Bring into photoshop and cook the contrast and sharpness to your liking.
