For this shot, I only had about 60 seconds to capture the magical light hitting the towers of the bridge before it was all over. It turned a mediocre shot into one of my favorites. Thanks for looking.

Oahu's North Shore turned out to be our absolute favorite part of the island. The old-timey laid back feel was in such sharp contrast to the chaos of Waikiki and Honolulu. Since we were here in August, we missed out on the massive waves this beach is famous for but the view was still pretty decent. Thanks for looking!

Our week on Maui was spent almost entirely in Hana. Hamoa Beach was one of my go-to photo locations as it was only about a two minute drive from the cottage where we were staying. The views of this beach came straight out of a postcard, all I had to do was show up. Thanks for looking!

Hello Flickr! I’ve finally gotten around to posting again after a busy summer of travel and work. I have a bunch of new stuff to share, mostly from my Hawaiian vacation so let’s get started. I found this location while driving the southeastern shore of Oahu and even though the light was crappy at the time, I saw a great deal of potential for a sunrise. The next morning I made the drive back out there and had a great morning of shooting.

When setting up this shot, I was initially drawn to the sunrise light hitting the face of Clements Mountain but it wasn't until I saw the orange light reflecting in the flowing water that I really got excited. Thanks for looking!

I love that they are still using the old Epcot Center symbol somewhere, even if it's just in the drinks at Rose & Crown. They must have a whole warehouse full of these leftover from the 80s or something because aside from the one on the ground between Future World and World Showcase, Disney has pretty much abandoned these awesome symbols. I really like the sweeping lines of the stairs in this shot and the way they tend to lead to the tower. I shot this with a fisheye but hated the way the tower looked so I tried a de-fished version and was pleasantly surprised by the results. Thanks for looking!

After a marathon of shooting in DCA and DL, I had to stop for a few shots of Downtown Disney on my way back to the Grand Californian. Here I was drawn to the lines in the concrete as well as the lights in the trees and the colorful storefronts. HDR was essential here so avoid blowing out the store windows (the Roxy ones in particular). Thanks for looking!
