such an unusual cap of clouds over the mountain, also notice the dark curtain of clouds above it

once again, Flickr changed the color when it was uploaded...the clouds were a beautiful pinkish lavender...I tried to edit once uploaded, but the Flickr editing program will only open halfway, not allowing me access to the buttons to change anything.

Hummer at Rest

A few hummingbirds are still hanging around, which was a surprise to me. I checked out Google and found out that a type called Anna's will stay around all winter if you keep them fed. So I have my trusty feeders full and will keep a couple extras in the house to trade out if they freeze. They are fighting like crazy and it seems there is one bully in the crowd that chases them all off. This is the baby one of the group, and I don't see him getting a sip in very often, so I have decided to hang a few feeders in the front of the house to maybe draw part of the crowd up front so nobody starves.

I have been meaning to get to the falls and get a shot of the fall colors. I have shots of it in summer and even made it up there in the winter to get it all iced up, but somehow I always neglect it in the fall. This year, I saw a photo somebody else took and made sure to get there for my own.

The fields that used to be all berries have slowly turned into nurseries. The fall colors are amazing!
