Taken up at Mount hood the other weekend, a memorable moment. I was photographing and with no sound other then the river, an abnormally large crow landed right behind me staring at me. His feathers all flared out and seperated, he must have thought I was going to die soon, as he just sat there looking at me without anybody around and without any noise, really eerie. Soon after another started to circle above me, squaking.

A image from up at mount hood the other day. It looks almost as if the sky is blown out, but it was just a really bright sunrise as it was such a beautiful clear day out, not a cloud in sight! The histogram in photoshop shows that it is clearly within the box and not overexposed, wish I had a little more color, but this is how it looked. Any comments on improvement would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I am posting an image from white river. I have been up there 4 times total now to get one photo where I could see the mountain! :) I don't have any amazing light or beautiful clouds that are pinks and oranges, but it was 17 degrees and I captured the most of it! I wanted to say this is the most effort these last few weeks I have really put into photography, I have been out 4 times recently and I am starting to really understand what it takes to get some of these amazing photos you guys get on here. It is a real challenge to get some of these scenes with beautiful colors, I always thought before people just went out and got lucky with a good sunrise or set. I am sure they do sometimes, but what you don't hear about is how many times they went to a location 2 hours away and got nothing. Maybe it was overcast or there was no clouds. It is simply amazing some of the scenes you guys have captured and I truly applaud you for your effort and sharing the photos with us on here. I use to think fishing was the most challenging, tiring, freezing, mind numbing, wet hobby I have ever had in my life, until Photography! My respect goes out to you who go the extra mile.

I had the opportunity meet up with Andrew Kumler over at the Oregon Coast. If you havent seen his photography, check it out, it's simply amazing. A little different angle then before. I like this one as it has a tree creating a falls on the bottom left. Now if I only had some fall leaves on those branches!

This was taken the other day on an overnight vacation to Crater Lake. If you havent visited this place, do! It is an amazing place. This is 5 shots taken vertically, then stiched in photoshop. I wish I had a few clouds, but not on this trip, hopefully next time, but then I may have not gotten such a good reflection. Thanks for looking. Jeff
