I was heading North in the back st8 away from trying to capture the Hummingbirds when I see this gorgeous fellow sitting. I shot pics of him for a good 30 minutes. Lots of them didn't come out too well because of the sun being in and out. I'm so glad I decided to go out again.

I left s/he for about 15 minutes this morning after taking a nice clear shot of him still in the chryslias and come back to find him hanging out to dry. I was so great to watch most of the day while the wings dried and the legs getting stronger. After awhile he just dropped and took his first steps. ( lol) Finally flew about 6 hours later and then it was a very short flight. Landed on our yukka tree. Then hung out there for about an hour and then took off. Hopefully I will not miss the op again.
