A bit of a trek to get to this one from the priory, found a much easier way back. Chest high nettles all the way along the river bank, tripods have many uses. The bridge in actually an old railway bridge for the cults mill. The bridge itself is quite big and if you were brave enough I dare say you could walk across the rotten sleepers, but far too high for my liking. I had planned a long exposure but the water in the eden flows so slowly at this part there was no point.

Taken at the weekend on a workshop with Bruce Percy. Learned loads from him, a good weekend although rather tired by the end - too many early starts. He is an excellent teacher, knowledgable and generous with his time, the course was well worth the money.

Tried using capture NX2 to process this IR shot. Much better with regards to white balance and quicker than ACR. But it is awful too, can't believe how badly written it is. Can't process anything in 16bit TIFF as it keeps saying memory error despite having 12GB of RAM.

Took advantage of a spare hour as the car was in the garage and headed down to the cathedral in St Andrews. Long exposure with the big stopper, the weather didn't really play ball for the IR to work, bring on summer (if we get any sun).

Perhaps not the best subject for an infrared photo but liked the feel of this wee hidden pond in some woodland. Despite the weather being warmer a fair chunk of the pond was still frozen solid. This is 3 shots manually blended in PS.

1st attempt at water droplet photography. Took loads of shots to get 1 or 2 decent ones. Will give this another go as the setup and technique can definitely be improved.
