A break from the "person or persons juxtaposed with amusing backdrop" series. Though I must confess, for me this picture would be nothing without the black and white Mondrian in the background.

By the way, I am the subject of an interview currently being featured in the "Streets of Colour" group here. In retrospect, given the name of the group, the answer I gave to the question "do you prefer colour or black and white?" was perhaps not the one they were looking for - and perhaps I shouldn't have offered such a black-and-white-heavy selection of images as examples of my favourites of my own work (a selection discreetly enriched with colour images by the interviewer), but it's always flattering when interest is shown in my "work".

By rights, this scene had "colour" screaming all over it - sure, the eye itself was in black and white, but the flames licking the bottom of the wall were bright red and yellow; the brickwork at the top was red-brown; even the road surface at the bottom was green not grey. But somehow, once I loaded it onto my computer, it only worked in monochrome. By the way, for those who are wondering, I believe the artwork was a hangover from Hallowe'en.
