Schloss Sulzheim (panorama)

This is the backside of Castle Sulzheim, the location of the wedding festivities. But only a small part of the ceremony was actually inside the castle, since they are still renovating the place. Except for the reception and a tour, the festivities took mostly place inside and outside of what they called the Knight's Hall.

Anyway, this panorama was shot during the reception in the foyer as a series of 5 portrait shots. It would have been cool if I had had the bride and groom in the foreground instead of just the pavement, but then again I was just a secondary.

Here's the happy couple cutting the cake. I thought this antique look worked very well, but I had to manually darken the cake a bit, since it was so bright that it didn't show against the bridal dress.

The smallest guest at the wedding. Her job seems to have been mainly to look cute and to pose for pictures. A good chunk of the time she was either pushing her doll in a stroller or being whirled around in circles by her dad – that is until he got dizzy. The guy in brown was the best man; and in the background you can see Castle Sulzheim.

Like I said, I was only a "secondary" photographer at the wedding, so I didn't get to take many posed shots – I surrendered those to the pro. However, every now and then I snuck in there and stole a pose. This is one of them. Julia was the bridesmaid; and on the other side of the couple are the best man and the groom's sister.

Originally, the parents of the wedding couple were also in the shot, at least partially, on the left and right. I took the liberty to edit them out to fill the frame better without cutting anyone in half. I hope they'll forgive me should they ever find out...
