So I treated myself yesterday to the 50mm Nikkor F1.8 portrait lens. It arrived today, overall I'm really pleased with it.

Just testing it out with our teak garden furniture during a greyed over sky.

So I shot this last summer on my old Olympus DSLR on our Thames Boating holiday (Wish I had, had my Nikon D90 back then) since I dont think my low end E-420 gave the photo justice in terms of quality.

I wasn't going to bother uploading this because I wasn't sure if I really liked it.

This was mainly due to the water marks on the window I took it from, but I'm digging the lines the light rays seemed to make when viewing through the glass window :)

Taken direct from camera and was just tinkering about with the white balence settings on my D90.
