okay so I had just finished shooting this photo and several others when I received a text from my daughter...a girl was picking on her at school about her clothing (she has THE most amazing fashion sense) and my daughter defended herself....the other girl got angry and slapped her at which point my daughter slapped her back but then the other girl threw her on the floor and started kicking and punching her, my daughter covered her head and tried to stay low as she has never been in a fight in her life (we are extremely non-violent) and the girl continued to punch and kick her until another student separated them....I immediately called the assistant principal and learned that although EVERY ONE said that my daughter was not the aggressor in the altercation, that both students were being suspended from school....this is all extremely upsetting and fortunately she wasn't hurt.... but I do digress

They would not allow her to leave school on her own so I had to go to school to pick her up....I washed off the makeup but the hair chalk is harder to remove. I texted my daughter and told her that my hair was a little pink at the moment....she was not amused but given that she was the one getting suspended from school (how is that a punishment???? a three day vacation??)...she really couldn't say much....I'm sure someday when she's in therapy she's going to bring up the day my mom came to school with pink hair......sigh....!
