On May 13, 2013 I was able to visit and go photo shooting with my best friend, The DrgnMastr.
He was kind enough to show me around the fair city of Moncton, New Brunswick and we got to photograph Ducks, the Tidal Boar, a number of gulls and off course the ever present Bald Eagles.

Upon returning home and reviewing the photographs taken they couldn't come close to the post of
The DrgnMastr. so I decided to go out and photograph the Nova Scotia Osprey.

Thanks DM for the great time. See you in a couple of weeks.

There are at leat 10 different nesting pairs of Osprey within a 20 kilometer radius of my home. Should be a busy summer in the area.

I went looking for Osprey this morning however it was so cold and windy there was nothing flying. I decided to go home and try a few shot of this Yellow Lady-slipper. Will try a few more when better lighting conditions prevail.

This pair of osprey have built their nest on this pole which is along side one of the busier highways heading into the city. Hopefully the traffic won't bother them.

This photo was taken 4 days ago. Have been suffering with a cold and only posting because everyone I know is getting ahead of me in posting Osprey shots. Will take a bit of catching up to do.

This fine Pheasant has been visiting my back yard for the past three days. Not knowing when he is going to show up I have had to take my chances and photograph him through my kitchen window. I normally have to stand about 6 feet away from the glass so as not to scare him. Can't seem to get a really great focus on the fellow but will keep trying every time he makes a visit

My wife and I went for an Easter Sunday Drive with the intentions of following a small portion of the Nova Scotia coast line and photographing Lighthouses and Fishing Villages. To my surprise I ended up photographing a number of old churches, seems appropriate for Easter, and only one lighthouse.

This church seemed to interest us and my wife even insisted on a shot of the steeple (Comment box, #1 shot).

The odd part of this location is that across the road was a winery whose office/store looked like a church. I thought it was too new so didn't photograph. To my surprise I found out today that the winery office/store was originally a church in Walton, Nova Scotia and that it was sold and floated up to Avondale for the Winery. A really interesting story and no picture. Will have to return to remedy this with a photograph and a glass of wine.

This church/Chapel was in Pembroke, Nova Scotia. The sign on the building, see 1st comment box, says
Pembroke Chapel
Est - Methodist
1885 - 1925
United 1926 - 1967

Have also included an additional photo of the chapel.

The cemetery next to the Chapel had a number of interesting Gravestones however not sure if I should post with names on them.

My wife and I went for an Easter Sunday Drive and ended up at this small lighthouse. See plaque in first comment box.

Waltons Lighthouse was constructed in 1873 and is a typical example of the square, wooden lighthouses built around Atlantic Canada during the late 1800's. The lighthouse is 20 feet in in height and sits atop a cliff, at the entrance of Walton Harbour.

Two large kerosene wicks, magnified by means of a Fresnel lens, shone through its lantern. With the decline of shipping from the port of Walton in the 1970s the lighthouse was decommissioned.

After 3 and a half days of visiting Grandchildren I thought I would try for some quiet and capture a sunset. On my way a had to pass through Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. Made a quick stop for this scene. As you can see there were no clouds in the sky and I should have know that my chance of a sunset was going to be nil, and it was.
