While her face is permanently sunken in due to being crushed for who knows how long/where she was stored during this time She is otherwise perfect and, in true Clawdeen style, didn't let that crushed box ruin her lipstick ;3 (She looks more aggressive this way too which suits her nicely.) SKRM Clawdeen was found yesterday & is just completely stunning so I did some swapping and threw both her & GR Clawdeen in for a picture as their own daring looks owe a lot to DotD.

Here's to hoping Clawdeen goes short haired again one day in the future. I don't mind her long tresses but for someone who is experimental with her hair & styles she it wouldn't hurt to change up the length more often.

A little under an hour ago I was in my walmart for a few essentials (body soap, shaving cream, juice ETC) when I popped into the almost never updating doll aisle just to see if there was something there and who should appear but a VINTAGE Dawn of the Dance Clawdeen! What many of you don't know is that Clawdeen, along with a few prized others like DotD Ghoulia & Frankie, were sold last year to make money that was going to be for the Tropicala convention (but ended up financing my alabama trip and, by that token, Borislav) so getting her back almost a year after that is astounding and incredible as well as kind've meta for #ThrowbackThursday

Despite the fact that I've already adressed this before, with the seeming unending rivalry to be reignited I must chime in. Apparently MGAE & Mattel fans think it's 2005 again & if it is then I need to find my younger self and encourage him to embrace fitness, not to start gossip girl & to buy all the My Scenes he can.

I'm not saying one side is even acting better than the other but I AM saying that everyone needs to GROW THE FUCK UP & mind their own business or, at the very least, shut the hell up about because this low brewing bullshit needs to stay in the '00s where it belongs.

While I didn't have what I would've considered a nice birthday a few years ago - no big shopping spree today, no really big party, the day off from work - I did have a really nice time, a cake (carrot, with cream cheese ), a relatively easy day at work (that was cut short, due to labor!) and just a relaxing day overall. Certainly I still want a birthday where I go out, drink and party but my prior belief of those activities being what made a 'grown up' birthday celebration was tested and debunked as having a simple kind've nice day is more than enough (or at least it was this time!)

I haven't uploaded anything SIS related in a while so I figured I'd show more Thea Parker.

She's here with her spoiled niece Elmira (pronounced 'L-Mira, ala 'mirror') who is working as her junior assistant. While Elmira, used to being spoiled by her father/Thea's brother, thought this would be a fun, cushy job to have for the summer she's soon learning that her aunt holds her to the same standard as all the other teenage interns in the company and isn't exactly thrilled by this development, hence her sour posing here.

I just adore this vintage look & without the arm warmers and under top it's quite contemporary so the question always was - who to wear it? It almost went on Reese but it never really suited her but Thea looks great in it and even her make-up is right for it!

and in his review he put this outfit on a RM Frankie. I was struck by the green with it and set out to find one of my own but, like most things we actively start to look for, she disappeared. Luckily, I remembered my GB Frankie and she wears it well. I guess it's only fair that my oldest remaining Frankies get the new goods! ;3

Ah birthday time - the one period of the year that I allow myself to indulge & just BUY. It's in two days officially and falls between two paychecks this time so I'll take some from my most recent one and a little from the next one and count it all together ;3

First up for official birthday items was the deluxe fashion packs for Frankie & Robecca. Ordered wednesday afternoon &delivered FRIDAY! Easily the fastest shipping I've EVER gotten on something.

Choosing a model for this was a no brainer as who better to get love then my very first Monster High girl. Sometimes I want one with regular, straight hair but her look is so iconic & specially unique to my own doll that the thought is usually fleeting.

The dress is cute but getting the tie to lay flat on her was tricky until I remembered how PD Spectra's was done and copied their example. my only real complaint is that the color on the earrings is so flat compared to all the other more metallic things. If only they were shiny silver instead or at least more than one color. oh well....

When picking up Fianna I noticed that the ties on the tail were all but detached anyway so I bit the bullet & tugged it off. HATED it as a cape but a curiosity to see it it would fit on her waist resulted in a peplum look I'm quite pleased with & it led to some other styling decisions that I feel really brought the doll together. Curiosity birthed something instead of killing it this time, which is always a win ;3

After growing my hair out for more than a year with no idea what to do with it I agreed to get a hair trim in February only to end up with all most ALL of it gone. I was devastated the first two weeks but it was for the best - to grow it out the proper way - and it's already starting to grow again so I feel a bit better about it.

Inspired by my own chop, I decided to give one to my sisters set Clawdeen as I couldn't figure out a proper styling for it longer. Shorter hair really suits clawdeen but we've only ever had one with hair this length. What gives?! Hopefully we'll get another in the future.

Finally, a group shot with Nasira & the others to close things out. ITW is shorter here because I ended up puting her back in her rainboots for the moment.

I LOVE this seasons Sasha and, lord help me, I'm seriously considering picking up the other two xpress its as body donors. I'd feel worse about taking them from kids but no one seems to be buying her in my area, which is sad because it's the only local store between TRU, Target & WalMart that has this Sasha box. (Also, I heard a rumor that xpress it is the only sasha physically being stocked & the others will only be online stocked. That makes no sense as a policy and yet there aren't any of the other Sashas being spotted in stores so I guess we have to wait & see.....)

I think we ALL KNOW how much I adore mermaids. I was only half trekking for her but kept getting Sashas over her & losing out on her at little tykes. Luckily, Target had her in stock as well as for a few bucks off so I ordered & received her 2 or so weeks ago. One of her eyes is a little crack at the side seam but I still really, really love her. Maybe even enough to get another. Hmm......

While picking up Nasira, I was intrigued by the 4 rainbow fashionista Ryans in stock. There had only been one wonky one in store before so after looking over the other 3 I chose the best one.

So yes, this is Remi's true love & on-again/off-again boyfriend (currently unnamed). The new face Ryan always was meant to be so but I never had a place to introduce them & their semi complicated dynamic. In any case, relationship status is currently 'on'.
