A Tiger Swallowtail swoons over a red azalea..

I'm making a bit of progress with the pinched nerve via rehab and ice packs but its a very slow process. Thanks for the good wishes. No point for you to comment because I really cannot reciprocate. I posted this just to keep my place so to speak.

Dear Friends, My flickr time will be severely limited for the foreseeable future as i seek to rehabilitate a pinched nerve in my neck...no doubt brought on by hunching over this computer screen for hours on end.

I was experimenting with a Tiffen Sunrise Enhancing Filter on this. Obviously it really pops the yellow. Shot back in February on a very Windy and cold morning on the Coast. Thanks for the look and have a Great Evening.

Pond Impressions

60 or maybe 70 years ago my wife's father built a concrete lined pond on the farm and proceeded to plant dozens upon dozens of Azaleas behind it. Just behind the the Azaleas, he planted dozens and dozens of Camellias and behind the Camellias Mother Nature took over with Wild Dogwoods. Right now the Azaleas are starring in a daily impressionistic color show of reflections in the pond. The howling wind was kicking up ripples in the pond when I shot the other day further adding to the abstract nature of the shot. Thought it might be interesting to know a little something about what you're seeing.

I know most of what is grown here but I haven't a clue what this is and of course the Name Brains are never around when you need them..........so Shrinking Violets seems as good a title as any. If you know...Wire Tisdale in the Boonies. Thanks for the look and have a large Tuesday.

These are ground Honey Suckle blooms which dot the woods here this time of year. This bunch was catching the later afternoon sun along with the howling wind which made photographing them a rather iffy proposition. Thanks for the visit and have a great evening.

These are bright red blooms but the powerful backlight gives them a pink hue. Fun to shoot. It's best in the light box. Thanks for the look and have a great week.
