I got geared up with the intention of jumping on the rollers today, but got sidetracked and sucked into the studio to shoot this instead... I've been wanting to get this shot for my portfolio =)

Bike: 2009 Specialize Roubaix w/ HED Bastogne Wheelset (1409 grams!) and Profile Design Aerobars.

Strobist:
- Alien Bees B1600 w/ gridded BD overhead
- 2x SB-800's in apollo soft boxes from the back.
- Triggered via skyport & SU-800

Having been intrigued by the bare-foot (pose technique) running method... even more so after reading "Born to Run", we both picked up a pair of the Vibram Five Finger Bikila's. They're not as creepy looking as I had expected.

I was a bit over ambitious on day one and put in 7 miles on my first run. Bad idea, especially in new shoes and trying out a new form. Throttling it back now and slowly building up the miles as I get accustomed to both shoes and form.

Went a different route this year, since I was disappointed by teleflora services last year. I went out and got the vase, flowers and willow branches individually and had them professionally arranged by one of my friends. She did a great job of putting it all together. This thing stands nearly 5ft tall - quite cumbersome to transport and heavy as can be. Almost brought her to tears when she saw it, so totally worth the extra effort =)
