The Blue King Crow (Euploea klugii) is a butterfly found in India that belongs to the Crows and Tigers, that is, the Danaid group of the Brush-footed butterfly’s family. Seated on Mexican Lilac flowering tree.

Our National Animal is on the brink of extinction. It is on its way to end up in our history books, unless WE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Here are some facts. What is on this page might not be new to you. It is still not too late.

Environmentalists believe all these numbers don’t reflect the ground reality. According to WWF reports, poachers kill at least one tiger every single day!

Say a NO to any product that comes from a tiger. Be it an aphrodisiac from the Tiger’s parts, it’s claw, it’s eye, it’s fur, or any other weird product that ‘promises’ to cure an ailment.

Taken at Bannarghatta national park, Bangalore, India. This shot was taken through driver’s seat glass window of our safari van. Hence quality is bit poor. This white tiger was seen in a pond just 10 feet away from us.

The Dark Blue Tiger (Tirumala septentrionis) is a Danaid butterfly found in South and Southeast Asia; taken at Chennai,Tamilnadu, India.

(Euploea klugii) is a butterfly found in India that belongs to the Crows and Tigers, that is, the Danaid group of the Brush-footed butterfly’s family. The Blue Tiger caterpillar body is banded with black, greenish-yellow and white rings, have two pairs of filaments.

Glory Lily is a most unusual and splendid flower, which is a sight to behold. In bud, the pale green petals face downward. As the blossom matures, the petals elongate and wrinkle and gradually arch backward while sequencing through a spectrum of color from green to yellow to scarlet. The stamens are extremely prominent and spread outward in graceful curves that follow the petals in their backward progression. The flower is 3-5 inch in length. Glory Lily is a twining vine that is able to climb up with tendrils formed at the tips of the leaves. Leaves are bright green and lance shape, 2-3 in. long. The leaf tip elongates into a slender tendril that coils around nearby supports to get a grip. A postal stamp was issued by the Indian Postal Department to commemorate this flower.

Tiger caves is one of the oldest monumental places near Mahaballipuram, East coast road,Chennai India.
Tiger’s Cave has got its name from a cave set apart among the rocks with a crown of carved tiger heads around the temple. In fact, it is a misnomer as you cannot find tiger’s figures but massive Yazhis (a mythological animal).
This rock cut temple belongs to the period between 7th century AD and 9th century AD. This can be considered as one among the sculptures and temples in Mamallapuram built by Pallava kings Narasimhavarman and Rajasimhavarman. The complex also houses a rock cut Shiva temple and an ancient Muruga temple unearthed by Tsunami in 2004 AD. Another attraction of the place is calm, serene and neat beach. The complex, which is maintained by Archaeological Survey of India, is dotted by palm, casuarinas and other trees.
