Everything becomes heavier when you lose someone you love, last week my grandmother passed away and the weight of loss is setting in. My grandmother was an avid reader and lover of poetry -- she knew so many by memory and would often break out into &quot;Maud Muller&quot; or &quot;The Incident at The French Camp&quot; with no warning. Her voice lilted on the rhymes in so musical a way that they are indefinitely woven into my memory. Her voice echoes in my mind as I recite by memory the entirety of &quot;The Highwayman&quot; -- a poem she would theatrically read from the time I was 4. <br /> <br /> There's something about birds, even stinky seagulls with one leg, that make you think of the freedom and peace that heaven brings.
