Postcard colouring in travel book ellies

This is for my goddaughter's sister, they are both emigrating to New Zealand on monday and I thought that a little book of bound post cards to colour would be a good going away gift. I have perforated each page so that they can tear them out and send them to freinds and family to stay in touch. I also thought the colouring activity may help with the long flight. For individidual postcard page details see other images uploaded, cover personalisation was made as follows:-
Design Block flourish stamped with white stazon on acetate and on recycled packaging for pencils and Name stamed with Small variety alphabet.
I wanted to decorate the front more but was consious of the need to keep the weight and size of the gift down so that it would fit in the hand luggage easlily.

I have been inspired by so many great people on this blog, it made it difficult to just pick one to make a card (wanted to make many more but have had a busy week). However, my decision was made for me as I got this MS Punch this weekend. My original inspiration came from Debbie's (dedernc3) card here shttp://www.flickr.com/photos/28064306@N04/3385186744/.
Card Recipe:-
Punched MS border punch along two edges of green card. Stamped design block flourish with white Staz on, onto acetate. Stamped flower onto pink pp and cut out, glittered one layer of flower, then stamped Happy Birthday background onto cream card and then stamped over with flower (from artistic borders set) and cut out smaller flower (glittered the centre)
Stamped flourish (from thank you flourishes set) several times and cut out to use as leaves. Put together with pop dots and pearls. Greeting added using orchid versacolour ink (from fancy friendship set)

Wedding invite on cream ivory card using the flourish design block, brilliance ink, gold nail heads and blue silk ribbon. Design created for a friend of my daughter.

I was inspired by Kelly's card and Sarah's card that they submitted for their blog day , sadly I don't have any flowers with writing on so I stamped some paper that I had covered with mica pigments with Hero art manuscript background and embossed cut out flower and then couldn't throw away the waste! (It was too pretty)So the card evolved from the original idea. I was inspired again (not part of original plan - but hey cards evolve) by Sarah's and the way she cut out the stars to reveal the inside of the card. The bottom section of the card has been stamped and embossed from the design block flourish and the message is from the clear heartfelt messages set. Orange flower from Hero Arts and brad bazzill bling.

Stamped white card with various colours of chalk ink, then when dry covered whole area with dye ink. Once this was dry stamped Design Block Flourish (S5034) with castaway ink to give bleached background pattern, then stamped leafy swirl from the memories clear set (CL221) . Put strip down right side of card and then cut circle and stamped happy birthday from the Heartfelt messages set (CL150). Cut circle apeture out of right side of card and cut a scalloped frame and mounted. On a separate piece of card stamped the flower from the memories set (CL221) and colored with prisma color pencils and highlighted with diamond stickles, cut out and mounted on card with silicone glue.

It is so cold at the moment I decided to make a card with sunny colours (this is really hard for me because I struggle to make anything with the colour yellow). I inked up the sparkle poinsettia flower head with marvy pens and stamped onto white card and then cut out petals, I then stamped the stalk and leaf from the radiant flower and extended the stems with a versamark pen covered withgold mica powder, stamped the thankyou with versamark and mica powdered it. I then used the design block flourish for the acetate and stamped with mustard staz on. The crystals in the centre of the flowers are from hero arts too. The yellow backing card has been embossed on a cuttlebug folder with swiss dots

I was given a bottle of wine today for helping out a friend with a card, so I needed no more of an excuse to make another quick card. I was inspired by lisa's shadow stamp and use of multiple coloured inks and decided to give it a go on the flourish design block.
