Walking for a Cure

This past weekend my family took part in the annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Great Strides event. It is a cause that is near and dear to us as my nephew Joey was born with CF. This year, our team was able to raise just over $16,000 to help fund research for a cure for CF. We are always so grateful and appreciative to everyone who supported our efforts in any way possible!

This is my Fence Friday; Welcome Home Josh edition. My brother in law Josh recently arrived back home from his deployment serving our country in Afghanistan. We were all really excited to see him and spend some quality time with him - especially Liam.

I'm grateful that Liam has a role model like Josh in his life. Without a doubt, Josh is one of the most dedicated, selfless, hardworking, courageous, strongest and smartest people I have met. His commitment to serve our country and strive to be the best he can be is truly inspiring.
And in that, he inspires us to be and do the same. Thank you Josh for all you do - and welcome home!

The past weekend I had the opportunity to assist the women's 574 Cycling team of South Bend with a group shot and individual shots for their website. These girls have a great combination of beauty and strength - it was very fun to work with them and I look forward to taking shots of them in action soon! New England Holocaust Memorial

Designed by Stanley Saitowitz and erected in 1995, the memorial consists of six glass towers under which a visitor may walk. Engraved on the outside walls of each tower are groups of numbers representing the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust. Inscribed on the inner walls are quotes from survivors of each camp. Underneath the towers, steam rises up through metal grates from a dark floor with twinkling lights on it.

Union Oyster House

i love boston, because i love its deep rooted american history. for example, this is a picture of the famous semi-circular oyster bar inside the Union Oyster House. With such a long and illustrious history, the Union Oyster House has had its share of famous people in history as diners, including the Kennedy clan and Daniel Webster - who ate at this very table. I find that to be incredibly fascinating!

one last pic from our vacation in new zealand - while on the drive from queenstown to milford sound, you pass through the fiordland region. This was a popular spot to pull over and take a quick snapshot.
