Waiting on some test results has really stretched me. I am really having to keep my focus on the Lord and on His good plans for me. Fear has a way of popping into my thoughts throughout the day. I keep reminding myself..."Do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am Your God, I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10.

We stopped into Chick-fil-a after Jammer's game and got some lunch. The sweetest girl waited on us! She did a fabulous job...she's a natural at making people feel at ease and serving them.

Jammer and his new tumbler design. It has lights that actually light up! Two minifigs are sitting inside of it. He was so proud if it. I am too! Love this boy so much!

Kenzie and I cut out these letters for above her bed. She's been wanting them for a while and while we had other ideas, we ended up just using patterned scrapbook paper and adhering them to her wall. We did a little redecorating in the process. She's happy with it. Her room is so her - happy and colorful!

Abby and Sarah came over to get ready for the tacky prom with Maggie and Mckenzie. They all got ready amidst lots of giggles and belly laughs. The idea is to go as crazy as possible. Abby won the tackiest outfit award. Maggie was crowned Prom Queen....and Jack was crowned Prom King. ha!

Mckenzie made this rainbow cupcakes. She was so funny while she was working on them....totally enjoyed herself. She made the icing from scratch! They tasted delicious. I love it when she gets in the mood to bake!

Jammer has been working with his legos when he has free time. I am amazed at the amount of time he can spend building and designing new things. This is a set with a helicopter, motorbike and tumbler car. They are original designs. I love the way his mind works!

He saw no action out in center field today. As soon as it was his turn in the dugout, the other team hit two pop flies to center field. Bummer! He's ready though when they come, he'll get them.

Maggie went off to fill out an application for a job at Chick-fil-A. She came back with a job! We're just praising the Lord for providing such a great place for her to work. She has some friends that already work there, so it'll be a nice place to get her feet wet in the working world. Later that day she got another job at a local nursery. She had to turn it down though because her boss at Chick-fil-A felt like he needed her on Saturdays and that's when the nursery wanted her.

Sarah and Titus stopped by for a surprise visit. It was so nice for she and Maggie to get some unexpected time together. Titus and Molly barked at each other...his bark is so big! She stayed for dinner and then they all went to Jimmy Cone for ice cream!

Mckenzie left to drive to basketball. As they were heading out the door, John popped his head in the room and said, "Pray." I cracked up! he he....she'll be good, she just needs to practice. I'm glad it's her daddy getting this early ride with her. Jammer (in the back seat) was a bit skeptical that they would get there in time.

I've been slowly working on my April word play. I thought I'd have it done by now, but not quite! When Jammer is working on his writing or his history, I'll sit with him and stitch at the dining room table.

Improv Hour

Maggie's senior year seems to be getting to the lasts. This was her last Improv Hour. Mrs. Abbott does a great job helping the kids develop the ability to think on the spot. She featured the seniors and Maggie did a fabulous job. This was a scene called "party guests". Gifford was hosting a party and three guests showed up, but each of them had a quirk. Maggie's was that she was a game show host. She was hilarious. This is actually a screen shot from the video that I shot.

opening day

It was a chilly opening day. Festivities started at 9 in the morning and ended with a game at 3:30. It was a rough game...we lost 3-16...ugh. Hopefully the rest of the season won't be so rough. The game was called in the fourth inning because of the mercy rule.

Jammer took a break from school to go out and practice hitting some balls. He was cracking them all over the yard. I got these shots out of the school room window...sneaky of me!

last day of classes at CBA

Today was our last day of CBA classes. (We're not done school yet, but those classes ended) This was Maggie's final day of attending the classes at First Alliance. It was a bittersweet day...I captured this shot of my girls before they headed down the road. Next year Kenzie won't have Maggie there with her....I think it'll be an adjustment for all of us. Even with heels on, Maggie still isn't as tall as Kenzie.

Mckenzie did another photo shoot and used Maggie as her model. It was a chilly day, but the sun was just perfect for taking photos. The girls headed through the woods to the field and got some great shots. Kenzie learned that she needs to check the photos each time, because that red handkerchief was sticking out in many of them.

easter scavenger hunt

Instead of individual easter baskets this year (because I didn't get my act together)..we did a scavenger hunt for the kids. They had to follow clues to find a group gift. (The movie The Hobbit and some candy). It was hilarious watching them try to decipher the clues and figure out where the next one was going to be. We may have found a new tradition! It was a nice Easter..after church, my folks, John's mom and my brother joined us for a late lunch.

Scrimmage against Coach Pritchard's team. Jammer started in the outfield (his favorite position) and ended up in the infield. It was a fun game against some of his old teammates. But it was cold...very cold!

I took Kenzie so she could take her written test to get her Learner's Permit. When we got to the counter they said we needed her birth certificate and social security card. I had the birth certificate, but not the social card...I had just written the number down. Dang nabbit! Thankfully, we called Maggie and she met us part way with the card, so we didn't have to go all the way home. At this point, Kenzie was extra worried that she wouldn't pass and we'd have done all that running. "No worries", I told her..."you'll do fine and if you don't pass, we'll try again another day." Well, she passed and came out with huge smiles! We tried a bit of driving on the way home. I'll just say there was gravel flying and that it didn't last for very long! But she passed and for now, we're still all smiles!
