Ok for this shot you'll need a wide angle lens. I'm using a sigma 10-20mm. this makes everything smaller. get in very close to the front subject and aim up when he jumps. have a small aperture. in this case f14 and it keeps your background in focus.

top it off with a little cross processing to warm up the sky

PP done in a free version of Picnik. Have a go just hit Actions then Edit in picnik.
Here's what i did
Lomoish faded 60% then Cross process, no fade then Oortonish faded 80%
Simples

Bigger is definitely better click L please

Delighted with how this turned out. April is a relatively new model and just got more and more confident throughout our shoot last week. She started our first shoot a little tentitively but got bolder and stronger. So if anyone needs a model in Hampshire,Surrey or Berkshire, send me a flickrmail

Selective desaturation in Lightroom: green 100%. Softened background a little and accentuated angle with a 20 deg rotation, then cross processed in picnik ( does anyone have a good cross processing lightroom preset pleaase). I used the picknickl preset as its the best one I've seen so far. Please educate me.

Bring it closer View On Black

Ok calling Geography fans, mountaineers, trivia nerds, geniuses, cogniscenti.Canadians especially Vancouverites, Seattlish.

Can you help me identify this mountain. It appears to float in the haze. this was shot near the restaurant at the top of Grouse Mountain in Vancouver,Canada. I was told it is actually in the USA
It was a lot brighter in real life I think I was using the f3.5-5.6 ef 75-300 lens which just eats light for brekkie.

First correct reply gets the next post dedicated to them
