Door 17

sminky_pinky100 (In and Out) posted a photo:

This, believe it or not is an art installation and not me gone photoshopping mad!
I have to thank one of my contacts Thatsanotherdory for finding this gem! (Sorry I didn't manage to catch you earlier). Having seen his superb shot I was compelled to go find it for myself. It really is very striking and reminds me of The Truman Show...Good Afternoon, Good Evening and Goodnight :o)

I should perhaps also mention, that (if you look closely you will see the stairs are on a mirrored plinth that gives the illusion that the stairs are floating off the ground).

If you like doors then you simply must check out this shot (possibly one of my all time favourites, again by Thatsanotherdory).

"Door 17" is by Nicole Evans and Pat Farrell, It is part of "Uncommon Common Art", a community art project put together by the Alliance of Kings Artists (AKA). Visit there website at www.uncommoncommonart.com to discover other locations of additional installations.

No aplogies for posting another shot of this fantastic art installation again (portrait version this time). I had a lovely e-mail this week regarding my last image from one of the artists, Nicole Evans, which I was thrilled about. So Nicole if you are viewing this one, thanks again for your kind words and keep up your fantastic work!

I shall not be flickring much over the weekend, so have a great one and see you on the other side!

Don't forget to check out Thatsanotherdory's photostream for his superb version of "Door 17"
(if you look beneath the stairs you will see they are sat on a mirrored plinth that gives the illusion that the stairs are floating off the ground).
