Calmtwood posted a photo:

(In English: follow that link to see the Tour de France-show we made yesterday when the riders came through Noord-Brabant)

F20, 15 seconden, B&W ND 110

Tand des Tijds

Calmtwood posted a photo:

I'm Dutch, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that I take pictures of windmills whenever I get the chance. Unlike the common perception on Holland, they really are not that widespread here as many people seem to think. Last Friday, my mother and I went to the island 'Tiengemeten'. A wonderful place that has been given back to Mother Nature. Literally.

When we took the pond to the island, this windmill was the first thing we encountered. And no, the look of those blades was not created by Textures in Photoshop. It's the real deal.

It was a very overcast day with a few drops of rain, but we stuck it out and came home with some great shots. You'll see a few of them over the coming weeks, mixed with the pictures I took in my hometown of Roosendaal and some portraits I still haven't put up.

Cheers, Jesse
