Thank goodness! As much as I enjoyed taking photos in the snow this winter I was really ready for spring and as most of you know winter would not move on. I love the different seasons in Michigan and am always ready for the change once it happens.

I have written a new blogpost and if anyone cares to read it and comment I would love to hear your thoughts. I also have an email signup so you can easily receive my posts. I'm going to try to be more consistent with posts here, there and everywhere. I tend to get caught up in the creative process then neglect blogging.

My pieces are being featured at Metropolis (which is connected to Midtown, basically one and the same gallery) and are in the front window. I'm so excited!

An unpainted piece is featured on this card as I didn't have any pieces painted when the owner asked for a photo.

New ceramic sculptures

Ranging in size from 12" to 16" high, hand sculpted, kiln fired then airbrushed with acrylic paint.

A bit of a departure from what I was sculpting but I needed to do something different and I really enjoyed creating these. I also bought my first airbrush and was able to use it on these and I loved working with that also.

Loving a pet and letting go is one of the hardest things to do in life. I know that he is at peace now and not suffering any more. It makes me happy to imagine him playing, running and barking with my two other favorite dogs, Max and Boo.

that has staked it's territory and won't move on.
It roars with a breath of snowy cold winds and freezing rain.
It wraps us all in it's icy claws and threatens us with it's cold hard bite should we complain too much.
It teases us when we get to feel and hear the pulse of it's warm beating heart but quickly takes it away leaving us once again chilled and numb.
I'm left with no choice but to bend to the lion's ways and brace myself against it's cold icy roar.

The bridge to nowhere is always going somewhere.
