From Saturday's wedding. The flower girl was adorable...and I love working with kids more than anything else.

And seriously, Flickr? Seriously? Does anyone have thoughts on this? I feel like I can appreciate the change from an artistic stand point. But practically, it's going to take some time.

Really. Especially with girls. They may just be my favorite portraits to take, besides children.

And I'm having a hard time (believe it or not) editing any from this session in black and white.
Color *fits* with them. This is a new problem. :-)

Last week we made a very impromptu trip down to Clifty Falls, and just enjoyed the trails and the town and the general spring-ness of it all. The park was filled with purple flowers and blossoms floating through the air, and that certain shade of green that only comes with new leaves. Good memories.

This picture was taken quite illegally, by the way. By accident, of course. :-)

I feel like I ought to write out a lengthy description of this weekend. But it would take a long time. Therefore, in short - it was grand. I haven't laughed that much in a long time...during the drive home I realized that my cheeks were tired. :-)

I got to take their wedding photos yesterday, on one of the grayest, windiest, coldest days this April (wouldn't you know it?). But the sun finally came out at the very end, and this shot is one of my favorites from the short time I had with just the two of them together.

It's hard to believe that last year at this time we were in the 80's. Today *was* beautiful though, even if it was cold and windy. I feel so much better about the cold if I can just see some blue in the sky. :-)

Well, I didn't really think I'd do this again, but I did. I upgraded. :-)

Sometime this winter I had the revelatory thought that if I sold my 5D and Xti, I'd have enough to get the Mark II. Then the booked wedding this spring, and the deal I found on Ebay, sealed it. I'm excited.

Today was probably the worst day in history to get a new camera in the mail, because is was drizzly and gray and horrible outside. But even working with it inside I've noticed a huge difference.

*If anyone's in the market for a used, but wonderfully nice, Xti or original 5D (both with many extras), let me know. I would love to sell them outside of Ebay, and especially to someone I knew.*

Well. I'm done!
In one way, it doesn't seem like it's been 100 days since I first started. In another way...hehe. Starting a project and doing it through the worst months of winter, and right after starting a new job, was probably one of the dumber things I've done. Some days I just wanted to throw up my hands and quit (and I'm sure if you go back and look, you can tell which days those were). But it was also incredibly helpful. And challenging. And in the long run, I'm really glad that I did it. And I'm especially grateful for everyone who took the time to visit my photostream, and comment. Even on the bad days. Thanks guys!

If it weren't for this project, you probably would have seen a grand total of three pictures from me so far this winter. :-)

P.S. Kudos to anyone keeping up with and completing the 365.

Today I drove out into the country before all the snow came in. I've always wondered about this little house when driving by, and always wanted to go peek in the windows. (Which I still haven't done yet.) I really would like to do some kind of photoshoot here this summer.
