Our earth continues to grow by cycles and seasons: The cycles of growth - spring, summer, fall, winter. The cycles of the human being - baby, youth, adult, elder. It is through these cycles that we will experience the changes. I will not always necessarily agree with these changes, but I need to trust the Grandfathers are in charge. Things will come and things will go. Really, I own nothing, the Creator owns all. Too often I label things as mine. I say this belongs to me, but it really belongs to the Creator. He gives me things to take care of. I need to do the best I can with what I have, with what I know at the time. And when the Creator changes things, I need to let go for His planning is the best. Oh Great Spirit, today let me do the best I can with what I know, with what I have. Let me experience acceptance of Your will.

Tina C. Gomez, 47, passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tina was born Oct. 25, 1963, in Durango, to Celso C. Gomez and Elizabeth N. Lobato. She grew up in the Gobernador and Bloomfield, N.M., area. She graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1981. She studied cosmetology at NMSU.

She spent the last 16 years in the Pagosa Springs area. She was self employed as an outfitter/rancher with her longtime partner, Matt Poma. Her interests were riding horses, ranching, outfitting, interior design and spending time with her four wonderful children.

She was preceded in death by her father and her mother, maternal and paternal grandparents, and an infant sister, Maria.

She is survived by her two sons, Kory (Laura) Hart and Ruben (Daisha) Gomez. Her two daughters, Carol Hart (Chase Hare) and Lacy Hart (Westin Carey). Her four brothers, Tim (Tarra) Gomez, Joseph (JoJo) Gomez, Shesh (Tracy) Gomez and Felipe (Jessica) Gomez. Numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, great nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her longtime partner, Matt Poma.

Cremation has taken place by Alternative Choice in Farmington, N.M.

There will be a rosary/memorial service Saturday, Feb. 19, at 5 p.m. at St. Rosa of Lima Church in Blanco, N.M., with a dinner to follow at St. Mary’s Parish hall in Bloomfield, N.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to R. Gomez P.O. Box 213 Bloomfield, N.M., to help pay funeral and medical costs.

Nature is life's greatest teacher. The natural laws are hidden in nature. Hidden are solutions to
everyday problems such as; conflict resolution, how to forgive, lessons about differences, how to manage organizations, how to think. Hidden are feelings. You can look at something and you will feel it. At night, have you ever looked at the sky when there are no clouds? As you look at all
the stars, your heart will become very joyful. You will walk away feeling joyful and peaceful. We need to visit nature so we can see and feel these things. My Creator, let me learn nature's lessons.

in spite of ole' man winter's heavenly hold...
of gloomy stormy days & temp's soooo very cold..
heavenly spring is on it's way..
dat's what i hear all heavenly nature say..
da beautiful birds dat winter had in far away places..
have come back wit their heavenly songs..
soon heavenly flowers will pop through da soil...
revealing their heavenly sunshine beauty..
sending their fragrances around in da heavenly air..
which make me want 2 fly wit out a care..
now our heavenly chores of love begin...
time 2 plant & reap again...
woohoo...spring is coming back.
