wow!!!

that word is as much for the photo as for the changes on flickr!
i'm still trying to learn my way around the updated google+...
and now today flickr has changed too.

this photo was taken on the way back from napa...
on my iphone...
from a moving car...
shooting into the sun.

i emailed it to myself...
added a preset in lightroom...
and turbo boost in perfect effects 4.

that processing reminds me of a painting...
with the sky and clouds...
and the contrast of the trees and the fields.

my mother & my niece.
they're sitting on a 3-wheeled red scooter.
i took a couple of photos with my mother on the bike...
and then she picked up the niece for more photos.

this one doesn't show the bike...
but it's the one time the niece acknowledged the camera.

her walking has improved 100%...
and today she even walked to put her offering in the collection plate.

i'm a member of a csa.
community supported agriculture group.
every two weeks...
i get a box of fresh fruits & veggies.

this week's box had some of the most beautiful radishes in it.
i didn't even wait to put in in a salad.
i washed it...
and ate it.

all of my tomato plants have flowers...
and i'm looking forward to the harvest.

i've probably already mentioned the various types that i'm growing...
but every year is an amazing new garden adventure for me.

one of my pepper plants was eaten by snails/slugs...
so i need to put out my sea salt this weekend.

i probably won't replant that particular variety...
but will put out some fish pepper plants that i started from seeds.

i bought these this morning...
for our job fair tomorrow.

tomorrow...
we are sponsoring a job fair...
and these flowers will be at the 'welcome' table.

i've order 5 gallons of coffee...
bought 5 dozen muffins...
and 140 mini bottles of water for the employers.

this is the first job fair my office has sponsored...
and i'm looking forward to it.

last week when i was in georgia...
i was talking with a family friend about photography...
and my aunt left the room & returned with some cameras for me.

she returned with this one...
an ansco 35...
and a kodak brownie 8mm movie camera.

they're all from the 1950s...
and i'm very grateful for the gifts.

it's a hot dog place...
but is famous for it's pork chop sandwich!

as a matter of fact...
they offer a $2000 reward...
if you can find a better tasting one in the county!

when the pork chop sandwich was the subject.

yes...
i did more than eat when i was in brunswick...
but my other activities...
were planned around my meals.

if you haven't guessed by my photos recently...
i'm in georgia.

i was born in brunswick almost 56 years ago...
and i never tire of visiting.

i had business meetings in florida this week...
and afterwards...
my daughter flew in...
and we drove to brunswick.

we've had a great few days...
and unfortunately...
we leave tomorrow.

this bridge is one of the gateways into brunswick...
and located at the south end of the bridge...
is the emerald princess II casino.

today...
my daughter and i...
went to the jerk shack...
a jamaican restaurant in brunswick.

i had the jerk chicken...
and she had the fish.
both dishes came with rice & peas...
plaintains...
and cabbage.

the plates were overflowing...
and the food was good.

this is three of the sauces on the table.
the hell hot was not as hot as the calpyso.
i didn't even try the others.

from my hotel window.

going from west to east coast...
the early mornings are the brutal.
i've been getting up at 6:00 (3:00)...
to have coffee and get to the office by 730 (430).

i attended two days of meetings...
that i think were pretty productive.
tomorrow i head to georgia...
to visit family.

my coworkers have all flown home...
so no group dinner tonight.

it's 900 (600) pm now...
so i think i'll get some dinner...
before doing a bit of homework...
and turning in.

i flew from sfo to mco.
in english...
from san francisco to orlando.

why?
i'm working here this week.

i took this photo on the way to the airport...
and am glad i did...
so that i have my potd.

going to head downstairs for a quick dinner...
and then back up to the room for some rest.
getting to the office at 8am is not going to be fun...
because to me it'll feel like 5am!

because of the color.

he tasted it.

mine has chia seeds.
he declined those.

i had a serving of gelato...
and called for service.

unfortunately...
they have no appointments for a week!!!

the ice machine is going to be working overtime.

i picked up this cutie.

i don't recall its name...
but loved the color.

we have two planters in the backyard...
that could use some new plants.

i'll put this plant into one...
and some wildflower seeds in the other.

we're in the midst of a heatwave...
and everything's blooming nicely.
