Such endearing creatures getting themselves in the way all the way to Hammerfest. Can't help feeling sad as they are enjoyed by the inhabitants of Norway either salted or smoked. Reindeer are a traditional Sami food. Sami are the indigenous people of Lapland descended from Mongolians.

Another night off from camping for good behaviour!! and the chance of a long lingering hot shower :) Even though I had to walk about 100 yds in the freezing cold for this luxury. (see, still something to complain about)! There's no pleasing some folk.

Approaching Hammerfest you are faced with the large LNG (liquid natural gas) site on Melkøya (island) just off Hammerfest, which processes natural gas from Snøhvit. This is the most expensive construction project in the history of North Norway.
