Here the Tiger Swallowtail literally embraces the Blazing Star with her wings as she goes about harvesting pollen and nectar.

This is one of my favourite butterflies. The Tiger Swallowtail gets so involved with harvesting nectar that they litterally wraps themselves around the blossoms they feed from. In this case it was a bit windy and the wings are used to hold on. I added a few links to other shots taken this day of this beautiful specimen feeding from Blazing Star.
