As the days get longer, the sunrise comes earlier. I got up at 4:45am to get this photo of the sun coming over the mountains around 5:40am. Worth every minute of missed sleep.

Another photo from the same morning this photo was taken is by far my most popular photo with many thousands of views and shares on the various sites. This one was taken only 10 minutes later, the red sunset had changed to orange but is still pretty striking.

I am really happy with this photo but it does not do justice to what I actually saw. The mist catching the yellow morning sunlight was quite the sight to see. A passing early morning runner pointed me towards this photo location.

This rainbow was visible for a good hour. However, I couldn't take pictures the whole hour because half the time it was pouring. I took this photo on my walk back to the car soaking wet! A little cold water did not spoil the amazing view or the photos.

What a great weekend for rainbows. I saw them on two separate days. This was on Saturday and was the better of the two. This is the first time I have been lucky enough to capture a double rainbow, what an amazing sight.

I like the way Golden Ears mountain pokes out of the back of this photo. I am hoping to climb this mountain later this summer once the snow melts down a little. Should be a great view from up there.
