Its great when I have a work meeting near somewhere ike this. I can go and visit afterwards. I have seen the White Horse many times from a distance this is the first time I have seen it close up, it really is rather special.

I took my Mango bike out for work today. I rode 40 miles making calls on clients. The ride was great on a bright breezy spring day. This bike is a super distance machine, hills are ok with it's 72 inch gear if taken fast and out of the saddle. I get around quickly as I keep up my normal 80/90 rpm cadence on the 72 inch gear. I am getting stronger legs as a result. This bike is comfortable ove distances, I ride all day and get off feeling comfy and fresh. The colours make me smile.

I like my Mju_1 cameras. They are one of the last cameras Maitani designed before he retired. They have the classic Matiani features; small camera, oversize controls and can take a picture straight away with no fussing. Maitani did not like any camera to have anything like a shutter lock or separate on switch as these things could mean a photograph was lost. The Mju-1 has the sliding lens cover introduced on the XA cameras, open it and shoot, that's all. The lens is good too. I have a Mju-II but do not like to use it. It's controls are not intuative, the shutter button placement is awkward and it's motors make horrid noises when the camera is used. I prefer the smooth refined operation of the Mju-1.

I have cameras all over the place. These ones are currently in use. The Zorki is loaded with Ilford HP5, the T2 fuji Suoperia 400, the OM2 Kodak Ektar 100. I do like a good viewfinder and each of tehse cameras has one. I have no preffence for direct vision finders or slr finders. I like a clear lucid immage with which to compose a photograph. The Zorki has a clear rangfinder and is good for low light use, the T2 has a clear 3d immage in its finder and the OM2 wit frenzel focusing aid shows something very similar to a finished photograph in it's finder.

The Zorki is getting a lot of use at the moment, it is a slow, tactile, thoughtful and accurate way to get a photograph.

Cleabed up ready for rebuilding the rear wheel on our Lenton. This rim does not have the best finish any more but it is sound, true and nor rust to speak of.
