Some of you may remember a program I recently acquired that warps people's faces. I was particularly entertained with the 'sexy' setting. It makes people look like alien freaks. You can see the program's effects here- flic.kr/p/ebfSZp

So when I saw the 365:2013 theme of 'unnatural', I naturally thought about making myself sexy with the program. ;0) And that's not all folks! I also made my face completely symmetrical before adding the sexy touch. A sprinkling of thinnify, skin softening, iris enhance, and teeth whitening made my unnatural clone complete.

The motion blurred clone is for We're Here.

I really wanted to photograph the same sign in Capitol Reef National Park, but I didn't get the chance. Now I have found one closer to home. Yay! I also went for a hike. Photos in comments.

Grrr... how on earth do you change the viewing permissions now?

This is the opposite of the 365 theme and I'm not wearing a fake beard... Not what I had planned. I needed some mountain time. I guess I wasn't on a mountain technically, but at the base of one. Close enough. :) I picked the first one that caught my eye without much thought, so if I pull it from the group and replace it you will now why.

I almost forgot to tell you that I went out planning a stranger photo, and while I was taking this picture a group of people passed by. I thought 'stranger portrait' but chickened out EVEN AFTER one of them mentioned something about them being out there doing the same thing as me. I'm surprised because taking photos of other photographers is easier for me. Next time. I can't chicken out next time.

We had planned on visiting Peekaboo canyon before heading home. The descriptions I read said you had to climb into the canyon but it was no problem because someone carved out places to put your foot. When we got there it was a big problem. There was no way my daughter was going to be able to make it in, and my husband's ankle was still messed up so he didn't want to try making it out. Instead, we went to Spooky canyon. It is supposed to be more narrow than peekaboo. I didn't see the end of it because I didn't feel like climbing. My daughter who did climb in a little farther said it got so narrow that she had to walk on her tiptoes.

I did try HDR, but I got frustrated with that. Three frames @ +/- 2ev doesn't really make a lot of difference in a place like this, and I didn't have my tripod.

The hike to the Escalante Natural Bridge was beautiful, but the first few yards had me freaked out. The grass at the beginning of the trail was full of snakes. I saw three harmless snakes and one unidentified snake in the first couple minutes and heard several more.

The hike was more enjoyable after getting past the snake-infested grass. The trail crossed the Escalante river several times which wasn't so fun for my husband, but I loved it. :) My step-dad, two sisters, and a little brother came to celebrate my son's birthday weekend and take senior photos which made it even more fun.

We didn't stay very long at the arch because the mosquitoes were horrible! I took a few photos in between mosquito swatting. The arch is 130 feet high and 100 feet wide, but my pictures don't really show you that. It took nine frames at 17mm to get it all in.

Everyone is waiting for me to leave so I can't tell you everything I loved about this hike. I'll just say it was one of the most beautiful hikes I've ever been on... definitely worth fighting for parking. :) I also have to say that my kids got cold and said I was there FOREVER... I only spent 36 minutes at the falls. Exif data is good for more than ya think... :)

So sorry for the crazy number of photos in the comments! I'm in too much of a hurry to choose.
