It's a vast feeling to end a day seeing the sun going down the horizon as it paints the sky with hues and kissing everything with its golden light before saying goodbye.

After taking picture of the Tanah Lot temple, we look for a place from where we can wait and enjoy the sunset that gives color and life to the sky. This was taken near a small cliff towards the sea. Sea sprays and getting wet are common due to strong winds and waves. The platform from where we were standing is actually below sea level. Good thing its low tide and we manage to stand here. There are also ‘sea creatures’ on the ground that is still moving and just waiting for the tides to comeback.
I have taken bracketed shots on this photo to minimize overexposure.

Pura Tanah Lot

Tanah Lot, according to Google is "Land in the Sea' or ‘the small island floating on the sea’. For the Balinese, Pura Tanah Lot is one of the most important and venerated sea temples. This temple is the most visited and photographed temple in Bali. It’s an obligatory stop, especially at sunset.

It was low tide during the time we visited and you can walk towards it and roam around. During high tide, they say that you need a boat in order to go to the temple. It was Friday and there are lots of people going to the temple to worship continuously up to 10pm they say.

We search for a place where we can position the camera to avoid obstruction and to have a better view of the temple. We found a small lagoon between two huge rocks and use it as the foreground. We use a 90secs exposure to blur the people going into and on the temple. The sun is about to set on the right side of this photo giving it a yellowish tint and on the right a bluish one signaling the end of another day.

I'm not sure what caused the flares in the photo, maybe tiny moisture on my filter caused by morning dews or splash from the sea or by the lens itself. Anyhow, I still love the effect and the moment.

Ok, maybe i've gone too far catching the waves and was caught by one big splash. XD Good thing here is that I was able to mount my tripod deeper into the sand and the impact of the wave was minimal and still able to capture this moment. The seawater acts as a huge reflector and serves as the foreground. The clouds seems like paintings to me with different strokes and colors.

Purple-eyed Fly

I saw a pair of these flies but not sure the exact species. It's abdomen is lifted, it has purple eyes with yellowish cross.

Loch Ard Gorge panorama

The Loch Ard Gorge is part of Port Campbell National Park, Victoria, Australia.

The gorge is named after the clipper ship Loch Ard, which ran aground on nearby Muttonbird Island on 1 June 1878 approaching the end of a three-month journey from England to Melbourne. -Wiki

The Razorback

This rock stack is called 'the Razorback'. The sharp edges and bumps along its back are caused by wind-blown spary, which hardens small areas of rock. The softer rocks around these erodes away, leaving uneven surface.

Wave energy channeled along the side of the stack carves the deep smooth grooves just above sea level. With one wave every 14 seconds, there's a lot of erosion over a year, a century, or a thousand years!

The Razorback once extended much further out to sea. The force of the waves gradually eroded and undercut the base of the stack. Vertical cracks in the rock were widened by rainwater, forming a line of weakness. Huge blocks of rock then collapsed into the sea leaving the rock shelf you can see today.

The two rock pillars protruding about 25m from the ocean are all that remains on the Island Archway near Loch Ard Gorge after its collapse in June of 2009.

The 8 limestone stacks of the Twelve Apostles can be seen on this aerial photograph. It originally consists of 9 limestone stacks before the 2005 collapse.
The highway on the right is a portion of the Great Ocean Road which is an Australian National Heritage listed 243-kilometre (151 mi) stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool.
The Great Ocean Road is the world's largest war memorial; dedicated to casualties of World War I. -Wiki

Despite only ever having nine stacks of limestone, these rock formations was called The Twelve Apostles for tourism purposes.

Today, after the 2005 collapse of one of the stacks, only eight remains.

London Bridge

London Arc is a natural arch in the Port Campbell National Park, Australia. The arch is one of the tourist attractions along the Great Ocean Road near Port Campbell in Victoria. This stack was formed by a gradual process of erosion, and until 1990 formed a complete double-span natural bridge.

The arch closest to the shoreline collapsed unexpectedly on 15 January 1990, leaving two tourists stranded on the outer part until they were rescued by a helicopter. No one was injured in the event. Prior to the collapse, the arch was known as London Bridge because of its similarity to its namesake. -Wiki

This spot was not part of the trip but since we still have time to spare, our generous tour guide let us take some photos here. I took 8 images and merged them and created a panoramic view of the place. I would say that the countryside of Victoria is really breathtaking for nature lovers and landscape photographers as well. My jaw keeps on dropping on these sceneries and how I really wish that we could stop on all the beautiful spots that we see along the road during our tour.
