London transport RT2775 seen in 1952 after completing a 12,000 mile tour of the US and Canada along with sister buses RT2776 and RTL1307. Happily this bus has been fully restored to original condition and is part of the London Bus Museum collection at Brooklands.

Preserved London transport RT2775 seen at Addlestone in around 1996 before the start of a rebuild, this bus is one of few RT's that carries it's original body dating from 1952, it was one of three buses that completed a 12,000 mile tour of the US and Canada when new in 1952 and is sadly the only one that surrvives today.

RT2775 at Cobham bus museum whilst having it's riser repaired. It displays it's original rear advert for Mobiloil that was painted on in 1952 and states that "This bus traveled 12,000 thousand trouble free miles across North America and Canada" . A tour which it carried out when new along with two other buses , RT2776 & RTL1307, both of which are now long gone. RT2775 is currnetly undergoing a full restoration at the museum and I believe is due to be finished soon. This photo was taken some years ago.

London transport RT2775 displaying the hand painted advert for Mobiloil on it's lower rear panel relating to it's 12,000 mile tour of the US and Canada in 1952 along with tow other buses, RT2776 and RTL1307, sadly this is the only one of the three that made it into preservation and has undergone a full rebuild by the LBPT at Cobham bus museum.

RT2776,RTL1307 & RT2775 at Earls Court in 1952 after their return to the UK from the America/Canada tour they had just completed. They were parked outside Earls Court on display at the Commercial Motor show.

Ex London transport RTL329 sold in 1968 by LT in July 1968 to a dealer and exported to the U.S in the same year and later de-roofed and converted to an open topper.

London transport RT2775 seen undergoing it's rebuild at Cobham Bus Museum in April 2003 it is now very close to being finished, cannot wait to see the finished bus. This is the sole survivor of the three buses that carried out a 12,000 mile tour of the U.S and Canada in 1952.

London Transport RT2775 takes it steady to drive under a low railway bridge while on tour in the USA in 1952 ,while sister vehicle RT2776 awaits it's turn to travel through a very tight rock tunnel at Lake Tahoe, Nevada, the three buses just made it through.
