Initially a Romanesque hall church with half-round choir, the church was transformed in the Early Gothic period by attaching an irregular choir and a wester tower. Some Romanesque capitals are preserved in the church. Two bastions and two towers, housing inside the storage rooms, strenghten the irregular precinct. There was also a second defensive wall, today partly destroyed. The gate-tower is also the bell-tower. The church furniture dates from the 17th and 18th centuries; the altarpiece is classicist, from the 19th century.
