Mystic River Swan

I've been staying near this river and walking here for about 10 weeks - first time I ever saw a swan in this location.
He was pretty cooperative, swimming in the sunny parts. Alas... though this is the best of the shots I got in terms of reflection, pose, etc... i managed to cut off his butt.
Maybe he'll stay around for a while!

The Swan Boats in the Boston Public Garden were not in service today (probably due to intermittent thunder storms) the actual swan was not daunted by the weather.

Don't disturb the swans!

Everyone seems to be paying heed... lots of folks are watching the swans and their eggs and now 2 little ones, but the humans are keeping their distance.

The cygnets at Ell Pond in Melrose, MA.
They hatched yesterday, and were out swimming today.
There are five more eggs in the nest... hoping to capture a whole "clutch" of swans soon.
