a baby grasshopper hopping over the grass to eat our organic hop plants at Half Hill Farm. The birds are doing a great job keeping them in check for now, so we're sparing them the diatomaceous earth cannon treatment which would also kill our aphid-eating ladybugs.

I don't see any signs of spider mites on the organic hops, but I'm spraying the underside of all the lower leaves with water to clean them off just in case.

The entire hop yard is now trellised on jute twine thanks to the Half Hill Hopmaster 3000, now with Pandora 4.1 (and extra screws).

These certified organic baby beer plants that woke up in the hop yard at Half Hill Farm after that last good rain are getting trellised today so they can climb and blossom into some fine Tennessee craft beer!
