Finally got around to modernizing the Panasonic. I upgraded to a modern 9-speed (3x9, indexed rear) Shimano drive-train from the stock "15 speed" (3x5, friction) drive-train. The new drive-train consists of (now outdated) Tiagra 9 speed front and rear derailleurs, some slightly used 9 speed cassette that I found at the shop, a Sugino XD2 triple crankset and some Dura-Ace 9 speed bar-end shifters. The modern drive-train, the modern wheels (Shimano Deore LX hubs laced to Mavic A119 rims that my co-worker hooked me up with), and bar-end shifters make this bicycle feel like a brand new bike! So far I've only had one, very wet ride home on it but it performed beautifully and I look forward to many, many miles on this guy. Still getting my saddle height and stem/bar height figured out.

For some reason I accidentally uploaded these backwards, this one is from late Spring. A commute to work on the Steamroller. This was pre-Panasonic (in it's current, modernized form).
