Spoiler Alert! Surprisingly, after watching the movie, the Ultimate Showdown set makes even less sense! Seriously, what's up with that? If Lego made up that whole scenario themselves, was that the best thing they could come up with?! The only explanation I have for this set is that it was one of those nightmares that Tony kept having.

This idea arose from a conversation on Eurobricks when someone pointed out that many Marvel heroes draw their power from the tech they invent, and even though this technology could save a lot more lives and change the world, they decide to keep it for themselves. Superheroes are jerks. :-P

Have you noticed how similar the Extremis Soldier looks to Tony Stark? I mean he has the exact same hairpiece, the same face print minus the goatee, and similarly colored clothes.

This was suggested to me by Crazed Penguin.

One can't help but wonder where the heck War Machine was during the invasion of New York. Well, according to a comic book, he was apparently fighting the Ten Rings in Asia on Tony's request and couldn't make it back to New York in time. So in a way, it's Tony's fault that Rhodey missed out on being part of the highest grossing movie of the year.
