The other night after dinner, I saw this deer looking in our family room window. I was able to grab the camera and get one shot before it ran away.

This deer was checking out the two mourning doves on the fence. Normally mourning doves take off at the slightest hint of danger but I guess they didn't feel threatened by the deer.

Two young deer that have been coming to our backyard all winter. This is the first time they ventured here without their mother. I'm sure she wasn't too far away but they appeared to be alone. They were trying to be brave and I think pretty proud of themselves. They were fun to watch because they being very cautious and curious of birds and squirrels that came close by. The quality of the picture isn't great but I love the expressions on their faces.

Today we had 25 deer in our backyard. I put some corn out for them and a little while later, they were coming from all directions. Our property is adjacent to 50+ acres of land owned by the water company so we are lucky to have lots of wildlife right in own backyard.

A deer in our backyard heading towards the bird feeder. I think their fear of humans has been overcome by their hunger. I can stand on the deck now and take pictures and they just look at me.

The deer are getting very hungry and having trouble finding food so they have been jumping the fence to get to our bird feeders. I took this shot in the late afternoon through the sliding glass door so the color isn't great but it struck a nice pose for me!

Bob & I saw a few turkey vultures along the side of the road today. He pulled over so I could get a few shots. Boy are they ugly!

The temperature was in the single digits this morning and with the wind chill factor, the weatherman said it felt like 10 below zero. The sun was out and the sky looked beautiful so I thought I'd be brave and stop by Great Hollow Lake to see if there was anything interesting. As soon as I got there, I saw this hawk fly down over a flock of geese and didn't know if it would try to attack one of them. A little while later, I was headed back to my car and saw it sitting in the top of a tree near my car. All of the sudden, it swooped down and landed about 20 feet from where I was standing.
