Hanoi, Vietnam – Born in Da Nang in 1931, Le Cong Thanh grew up and worked in the north. Graduated from the Hanoi Fine Art Institute in 1962 and was a teacher at the Hanoi Fine Art University from 1963 to 1968. Had close association with Nguyen Tu Nghiem, Bui Xuan Phai and Nguyen Sang. Studied art in Russia from 1968 to 1970.&lt;br /&gt;
He now lives and works together with his painter wife, Nguyen Kim Thai, in Hanoi&lt;br /&gt;
