I took this photo just after coming home after picking Riley up from the groomer's.

I wish he would stay like this but I know he won't have this look for too long.

Riley likes to be in the midst of whatever is going on, so, when he heard voices he went running to see who was talking and what was happening.

After his walk Riley didn't want to come into the house. He stayed in the yard for awhile and rolled in the snow.

Riley enjoys his daily walks especially if any neighbors are out because they give him lots of attention.

There is one neighbor, in particular, an elderly lady who spends a lot of time on her porch and always makes a big fuss when she sees Riley so when we come to her house he has to stop and look to see if she is there. If she is, there is no way we can continue the walk until he goes and greets her.

December 25th is not only Christmas but also Riley's birthday. He was 7 years old this year.

I think he was too embarrassed in this getup to even look at the camera.

"Mom and Dad adopted me when I was 10 months old and up until then I spent most of my days and nights in a pen.

After coming home with them, Mom assured me that I would not have to be in a pen again and I haven't been.

Ever since that day, I have complete freedom in our home at all times.
