I have so many ideas for this kind of shots and finally I was able to do some of them. This is my favorite shot from a series we have done in one lovely canyon in Wadi Rum. Playing around with this kind of photography is really addictive and you keep coming with more and more ideas what to do and where to do it, therefore I look forward for more sessions.

Desert is more often known for its cloudless sky however when you are lucky, you can also get some amazing colors in the sky as this evening, and the best part.. just 5 mins from my friend's house where I currently stay !

Friends can be one of our biggest gifts in life, and especially if you have those that like to do equally crazy things as you do. Driving on top of sand dunes is surely of those things that will never stop being fun... I think the car really adds nice scale to the composition and overall scene.

Flying a balloon in Middle East might seem as straight forward thing always possible to do during never ending sunny days, but also Middle East has its share of bad weather days... and especially windy days... It has actually taken 6 days of waiting to be able to fly over spectacular Wadi Rum desert, but the wait was worth it ;)

I guess anybody that travels to Iceland during winter months expects to see aurora dancing above their head on any clear night.. The reality might not be further from truth and it is actually quite an achievement to see one... and when you finally do.... to find place that nicely completes the composition.

The IJmeer is a bordering lake in the Netherlands. It lies between the polder De Nes (in Waterland), Pampushaven, Hollandse Brug and the mouth of the IJ in IJburg, straddling the provinces of North Holland and Flevoland.

Mongolia - Khövsgöl Nuur (Lake) at Mongolian North at Dusk with Full Moon Rising

Lake Khövsgöl (Mongolian: Хөвсгөл нуур, Khövsgöl nuur), also referred to as Khövsgöl dalai (Хөвсгөл далай, Khövsgöl ocean) or Dalai Eej (Далай ээж, ocean mother) is the largest lake in Mongolia by volume, and the second largest by area. Khövsgöl nuur is located in the northwest of Mongolia near the border to Russia, at the foot of the eastern Sayan Mountains. It is 1,645 m above sea level, 136 km long and 262 m deep. It is the second-most voluminous freshwater lake in Asia, and holds almost 70% of Mongolia's fresh water and 0.4% of all the fresh water in the world.

The lake is surrounded by several mountain ranges. The highest mountain is the Bürenkhaan / Mönkh Saridag (3,492 m), which has its peak north of the lake exactly on the Russian-Mongolian border. The surface of the lake freezes over completely in winter. The ice cover gets strong enough to carry heavy trucks, so that transport routes were installed on its surface as shortcuts to the normal roads. However, this practice is now forbidden, to prevent pollution of the lake from both oil leaks and trucks breaking through the ice. It is estimated that 30-40 cars have sunk into the lake over the years. The Lake area is a National Park bigger than Yellowstone and strictly protected as a transition zone between Central Asian Steppe and Siberian Taiga.

I would not have originally connected Mongolia with large lakes and forests however there are plenty of them in the North and West of the country. This shot was taken at one of those amazing locations at very early and very chilly morning.

Czech Republic - Prague - Praha - Charles Bridge - Karlův most at Dawn - Blue Hour - Twilight

The Charles Bridge - Karlův most - is a famous historic bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the beginning of the 15th century. As the only means of crossing the river Vltava (Moldau) until 1841, the Charles Bridge was the most important connection between Prague Castle and the city's Old Town and adjacent areas. This "solid-land" connection made Prague important as a trade route between Eastern and Western Europe. The bridge was originally called the Stone Bridge (Kamenný most) or the Prague Bridge (Pražský most) but has been the "Charles Bridge" since 1870.

One of the iconic photos from Prague, but to get it you have to get up early as usual. I thought we might be the only people there in the morning, however several other photographers were there as well, together with some small groups of foreigners (rather drunk) returning from the nearby dance club.

Germany - Berlin - Reichstag - Parliament - Seat of the German Parliament - One of Berlin's most historical landmarks - Dome of the The Reichstag - Large glass dome at the very top of the building - Dome has a 360-degree view of the surrounding Berlin cityscape.

No trip to Berlin is complete without one of its highlights - visit to this beautiful dome. You need to sign online in advance and pick your time and date. I have purposely timed it for sunset time to get the best possible light. I was rather lucky with beautiful sunset and not rediculously long queue. To have better idea of the scale of the beautiful piece of architecture, check those few figures at the bottom !!

The Shard, also referred to as the Shard of Glass, Shard London Bridge and formerly London Bridge Tower, is a 95-storey skyscraper in London. Its construction began in March 2009; it was topped out on 30 March 2012 and inaugurated on 5 July 2012. It will open to the public in 2013. Standing 309.6 metres (1,016 ft) high, the Shard is the tallest building in the European Union, the second-tallest in Europe, and the second-tallest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom, after the 330-metre (1,083 ft) concrete tower at the Emley Moor transmitting station.

I wanted to take this shot for couple of years, but never got to London at the right time... till my last visit. And even then, it took me 3 "Blue Hour" visit to get this shot... the first night was raining as it was the second one. I did try to take few photos under the umbrella, but it was that famous English drizzle that gets everywhere... so no hope... Luckily at the end I got what I wanted...
