5/9 colours - I forgot to put navy on the palette! oops!

Well, it appears that the 5lbs I've gained since last MMM has all been in my bewbs, because this top has gone from loose to tight! Darts are way too high too... and there's absolutely no ease in the back. Is that because I didn't know any better as a beginner sewist? Looking back at my original post, it's very possible! (even then, I admitted it was poorly made! :P) But I love the colours and print, so I keep on wearing it. Do you have any projects from your early days of sewing that you still love wearing even though the lack of experience shows?

My cat is a total chicken - she runs away as soon as anyone walks near! Her name is Laptop, since she's the same grey as old Mac computers were, and they both sit on your lap... now that's seriously nerdy! If you've got a cat or dog, how did you name it?

The ground was covered with snow this morning, so I dug out some black fleece tights and a hand-me-down wool sweater to go with my Tira. Happily all the snow melted by the end of the day, and it looks like spring again!

Uh, 1/9 colours from my wardrobe palette? (and that's the MM Style Arc Jeans that are cropped out of the picture! :P

I wanted a comfy outfit for today, and that meant pulling out this Uniqlo hoodie that I appliqued Echino birds onto years ago. Purple isn't in my assigned colour palette though... but I'm wondering if it should be? I've got 6 or 7 tops in this colour, though none are Me-Made...

Uh, guys? It's snowing here. Silly Canadian weather! I'd planned to wear a floral double knit shift that I made yesterday, but instead I've pulled out my cosy sweater and flannel tee. Grrr. How's the weather where you are?

MM: Style Arc leggings, French terry knit Scout (not-so-woven) tee, and infinity scarf.

It's another day lounging around home and getting some paperwork done, so I'm dressed for comfort! I wanted to show of the amazing rainbow blanket that my sister knit me for my wedding... she really nailed my colours! I just adore it. Everything is better when wrapped in rainbows!

Jersey dress, very loosely based on Sewaholic's Renfrew... with a rather wonky waistband and slightly tight skirt, which is why it's remained unblogged!

Fishy face!
I wore my Koala shirt today for my Grade 1 class's zoo-themed "celebration" (aka. they bring a stuffed animal and I make them do all the normal math, language etc but with an animal theme! ;)
I only managed 2/11 colours from my wardrobe colour palette today... It's hard to match turquoise or red or any other colour with this top!

Today I'm wearing 4/11 "wardrobe palette" colours in my outfit! That's better than just blue and cream yesterday! :)

MM: Japanese Yuwa lawn sleeveless Pendrell.
I love this print so much! I'm pretty obsessed with Yuwa's "Live Life" lawn collection... It's very Liberty-esque in quality, but at less than half the price! Too bad it's rarely imported into North America... at least now we can order directly from Japan through Rakuten!

Hurray for Me-Made May! I'm so excited! My goal this year is to wear me-made clothes every day incorporating at least one of the colours in "my" wardrobe colour palette. Today students and staff at the school where I teach were asked to wear blue, which narrowed down my normally-rainbow outfit choices!

I'm pretty proud though - I made everything you can see! Tank, cardigan, jeans and even the necklace! (Bonus: These are my first jeans, and they are officially the comfiest I own. Look out for a lot more jeans this month!)
