I made up the charts for the snowflakes from photos of traditional Cowichan sweaters and fit them into the same pattern as the Daughter sweater.

Big clear tracks in the driveway this morning. It has warmed up and the snow has melted so I'm glad I spotted these when I did.

One of the first sourdough loaves to come out of the oven.
I have put in casseroles as the oven when I was finished baking in it . It was hard to waste that great heat!. One night, after I did this, I got my Night owl to check on the casserole at about 12:30. The oven was cold by then but the casserole he pulled out was steaming hot - perfect for the next night's dinner. I have heard that you can make yoghurt overnight but I never tried it.

What did we cook?
I usually started with pizza since the oven was at it's hottest. This night we were having Indian food and so I baked naan, which is traditionally baked on the walls of an oven. I tired some right on the fire brick and some on perforated pizza pans. The ones on pizza pans cooked a little faster.
I even baked a plum crisp in it after dinner.
