Food stores in the night bazzar

These food stores are the most actives during the night. They are like "mobile" food stallerholders, where they travel around the Singapore island to sell their food for hungry people like myself.

This shot is taken in a night bazzar during the muslim's fasting month in Geylang, Singapore.

A crowded night bazzar with lots of people. The air is smoky and filled with aroma's of nice foods like burgers and chicken wings.

Taking during the muslims fasting month, these chefs are preparing their 'otak-otak'.

'otak-otak' derived from "the idea that the dish somewhat resembles brains, being on the soft and squishy side." - Wikipedia

They are normally mackerel fish paste with added spices and wrap with banana leaves and then BBQ.

Since the Hari Raya is coming, ladies will be buying these colourful scarfs to tag along with their blouses.

They come in all sort of colours, making it easy for ladies to match their clothing i guess. :)

Fake and coloured ketupats

A real ketupat is a type of dumpling made from rice and wrapped in a palm leaf pounch. It is normally boiled and goes well with ..... my favourite satay sauce!

Visited Geylang this evening during the Muslim's fasting month. Great foods are sold here in this smoky and crowded bazzar.

I did not managed to get a closeup shots due to large crowds kept pushing me forward.
