Definitely one of the shots I wanna re-take in the future -- it's good but not as good as I expected. Found this one in the archives, over a year old!

The rooftop of the short term parking in Tampa is amazing, its a neat place to see a view you almost never see in Florida, and to just enjoy a moment or two with someone you love. It's somewhat of a "secret" but neat spot to go to in Tampa!

cast member "Jay" at tower of terror was one of the nicest people I've ever met at Disney (and there's a bunch of them there!). he let me take photos of almost everything, and even let me over the queue line and take shots of things that normal guests may never see.

i guess some cast members (or guests who snuck past the line) engraved their names in the fake dust... and i have no idea what it says on that notepad. only spent about 5 minutes past the regular queue line before he shoo'd me out. still got some shots that i liked! shout-out to him! picture of him below!

recently got to ride Star Tours 2... got a text that it was "soft opening" around 2:30pm saturday, and drove as fast as I've ever driven to ride it.

wow, it was amazing. no spoilers here... but definitely a must ride if you're in the park! congrats to everyone at wdi for some fantastic work! opens officially this friday, may 20th.

some facts:
* The new ride has a runtime of 4 minutes 30 seconds
* The new Starspeeder 1000 features an upgraded interior dashboard and monitors, new audio and new color scheme.
* 54 story combinations randomized
* State of the art 3D imagery produced by Lucasfilm's Industrial Light and Magic
* Enhanced motion programming of the simulators with all new terrains, including space flight, desert pod racing, underwater travel, sliding on ice, and traveling through forests
* Character appearances from Darth Vadar, Admiral Ackbar, Princess Leia, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, R2-D2, Yoda, C-3PO and Jar Jar Binks
* Original actor voices were used where possible, including James Earl Jones, Anthony Daniels and Frank Oz
* Original music from composer John Williams, with additional arrangements by Michael Giacchino

Spent my winter holidays with family all the way in the Phillipines! 3 hour flight Orlando to Detroit, 16 hours from Detroit to Tokyo, Japan, then 4 hours to Manila, Phillipines. Left Friday & arrived Sunday. What a flight!

"The Castle was completed in July 1971, after about 18 months of construction. No bricks were used, and, contrary to a popular legend, the Castle can NOT be taken apart in the event of a hurricane. It was, however, built to withstand hurricane winds of at least 90 miles per hour. The inner structure is steel covered with fiberglass, secured to a concrete foundation. The turrets and towers also have internal steel framing and were lifted by crane, then bolted permanently to the main structure."

"When the sun sets, the castle is illuminated in 16.7 million colors, thanks to SGM Palco LED lighting fixtures placed on different Castle levels and surrounding the castle. Beginning November 2007, for the first time, the "Castle Dream Lights", with over 200,000 LED Christmas lights, covered Cinderella Castle and was lit nightly during a new stage show in front of the castle."

For good? I hope so!

It's been way, way, WAY too long without my photo Disney/theme park peeps! Where have I been? School, family, friends, girlfriend, & responsibilities have come first. Even when I'd be busy with that, photography & theme parks have always had a place in me. I always knew I'd come back to it, but I didn't know when. Now is the time... :)

Please forgive me as I'm trying to get back in the swing of things, photography & flickr wise. Holy crap has this place has changed over a year or so!

Hope everyone has been swell since I've been gone. Hope to chat with everybody again. And if you're wondering, I didn't pee myself in this photo... just water from a water ride, before meeting these Hogwarts students at Universal. :P
