Our daughter, the Marine.

After five years in the Marine Corps someone challenges Christina to do the "femme" thing. I think she did it quite well. When she saw what I had done to this photo, I was rewarded with an, "Oh wow!"

She was on leave from the Marine Corps and she was taking a walk with mamma and I in Tower Grove Park. I had the little Kodak so had some fun with it.

This fellow was walking Chris around showing her his old tractors. She did get several shots of them. I think she was a bit concerned to see me shooting her with him as she suspects me of posting pics with funny titles or remarks.

Actually I was rather proud of her for taking the time to listen to his stories,,,

So I'm happily clicking away, not realizing that time has passed, the light quality has changed and I have failed to change the camara settings. So,, I end up with what appeared to be several black frames of nothing. Small smudges of light indicated something was there so I brightened the image to find a grainy mess.

I'm not sure what I did to get this, couldn't repeat the steps, didn't keep track but it involved Photoshop, HDR, and Piknik. In the end, I kind of like it. The contrast between feminine and grittiness nicely compliments the contrast of light and shadow to produce an oddly interesting image. That's my story and I'm stickin to it.
