Fireworks displays are common in Sunset Country during the summer months. Local festivals and CanadaDay celebrations on July 1st always have a good fireworks display.

Many of the lakes were still covered with ice when this shot was taken in late April. Ice out is a time of renewal in the boreal forest and fishing season is just around the corner.

This beautiful trout was caught fishing shortly after the ice went out - one of the best times to catch this species of fish. We ate it for lunch and it tasted gooooood..........
