This guys resting from a hard days work on the roads. He repairs flat tyres, using only basic tools. The road is very rough today and it has taken several hours to cover under 1 kilometers. He has plenty of customers.

This man was introduced to me on a road house in Sulawesi.
After we got on to the subject of his profession he admitted that he was the head of a local organizational syndicate. And that locally, this was referred to as the mafia. He was quite proud, but modest that he was know locally as the God Father.

I met this Iman at a local restaurant in a small remote village while I was trying to work out why I was there. He was probably the friendliest Iman I have met so far and we had an interesting discussion on religious philosophy.

The largest flower in the world, 30 inches in diameter. It is an endoparasite of vines. The vile smell that the flower gives off attracts insects such as carrion flies, which transport pollen from male to female flowers. This flower was spotted in Guang Gading national park, Malyasia

Marco here gave me a lift up the Kayan river in Kalimantan. He was on a long boat hunting expedition with his family. They caught fish, turtle, and shot wild boar.
